Getting Involved

Parental Involvement
Our co-op can only exist with the involvement of parents. Therefore, one Parent needs to be available the whole time their children are participating. There are many jobs that are necessary to enable the co-op to function effectively. From teachers and assistants to nursery help and clean-up, every part is essential. Assignments will be based as much as possible on the preferences listed by the parent at Registration. We will make every effort to provide some time off during the co-op day.

Finances
It is our Goal to keep our Fees as low as possible. A $30 per family registration fee is due upon enrollment. Each semester a $10 per Child, per class tuition is assessed. Nursery and Preschool are a flat $25 fee for each semester.  Tuition can be paid in one lump sum or spread out in four equal payments over the course of the semester.   Science and Art classes will be an extra $5 supply fee for each semester.  Dance classes are $15 a month.   Some classes will require the additional purchase of curriculum.

Background Checks
In an effort to protect our children, we require that all parents involved in this co-op submit to a background check each year. Since we all benefit equally from this policy, we ask that each person pay for his or her own. We will attempt to keep costs as low as possible.

FAQ's

What if I go out of town or have an appointment?
Obviously, the co-op runs most smoothly when everyone is present, so we need to schedule other activities around co-op day whenever possible. When a conflict cannot be avoided, coordinate with your co-teachers so they are aware of your absence and are prepared to take your place. Each teacher is required to have one additional lesson prepared that will be kept at the Co-op for emergency substitute situations.

What if someone in my family is sick?
In the case of illness, contact your co-teacher as a sub then contact the Leadership team so they can make sure that the class is adequately covered.
