SCHEDULE REVISED
After reviewing the Sing Song Latin curriculum for the youngest group, it has been decided not to do that class.   It would be too confusing for the students since they are also trying to learn phonics and reading.    We've tossed around a few ideas and the most popular idea is the "What's My Job?".   Students would learn about a different  job/community helper each week.  This class would also open the door for the opportunity to have guest speakers and field trips.

The idea of making the Oregon Trails Simulations class into a two hour class is also under consideration.   The teacher has suggested that a longer class time would  make it easier to do more involved projects.   Art would also be incorporated into the class so student would still have an opportunity to use their creative side.    More on this later.

ROBOTICS TEAM TAKES 3RD PLACE @ NATIONALS! ! ! !
The OKC Homeschool Robotics Team earned a spot to the B.E.S.T.  National Competition in April.   The team competed at the ESPN Center in Orlando Florida against the top teams in the Nation and Canada.
By the way,  All three top spots went to Homeschool Teams.    Awesome! ! !

OKC Homeschool Robotics is  for 6th - 12th grade but there are several programs for younger students as well.    SALT Co-op is investigating the possibility of having a Robotics class for the younger students.   We would like to do either the Lego Mindsweep or the BottBall program.    It's an exciting opportunity for our students.    We'll keep you posted.
